About Pam Condie
One day my father telephoned to tell me about an occupation that
seemed right up my alley. The article he read me described
a professional organizer. When I asked him why he thought I would
be good at organizing he told me about his cupboards and drawers I had
organized decades before. He and my mother liked what I did so
much that they kept things the way I arranged them. How many 84
year-olds would then say to "hit the National Association of Professional
Organizers' Web site"?
I did so and soon attended the local chapter's regional
conference where I found what felt like family - a roomful
of sisters and a handful of brothers, people who think the way I do.
And who were friendly, supportive, imaginative, and great fun.
Today I serve individual and business clients, and teach organizing
at Piedmont and Alameda Adult Schools. I love the challenge
of helping people make their lives work with ease.
It gives me enormous satisfaction to see that anyone can achieve
his or her best if freed from distractions caused by clutter, inefficient
use of time and similar distractions. More free time
and improved time management can produce more hours for hobbies or leisure. Since
I have become an organizer I have found increased time to produce more
of my own visual artwork, resulting in greater personal satisfaction
and a richer inner life for me.
Since 1992 my business has served individual clients as well
as public entities like East Bay Municipal Utility District, the San
Francisco International Airport Expansion Plan, and the San Francisco
Civic Center Courthouse. My business partner, Douglas
Condie, provides small business financial consulting and tax preparation.
The next place to go is the How I Work page.
